Laura (b. 1985) is a fine artist and illustrator based in Los Angeles, CA. She is the co-founder and chief creative of The Obscure, an experiential distillery, tasting room, and members-only cocktail bar in DTLA.
Self-taught with a background in Natural Science Illustration, her work encompasses digital and traditional mediums, from 2D pencil on paper to three-dimensional concepts for immersive spaces. She finds inspiration in the sensitivity of human and animal expression, the nostalgia of old photographs, and the deep symbolism of esoteric practices like tarot, alchemy, and astrology.
